I, myself, won’t be attending the People of Color conference. I asked several times if there would be exhibitors’ booths. Never received a word back from either Simms or Moore. Guess it’ll be the same as the ASLTA Conference where a chosen few were allowed to have a booth.

For you all who do not know this. Simms and Moore atended the same school Indiana School for the Deaf…. does that tell you sometihing?????

May I ask exactly what priveledge us white have any more? Seriously, I am white, deaf, broke, and having a hell of a time finding a job, much less affording college. So please, enlighten me? The only thing I can think of is not being treated as a criminal in everything I do?

But even then I experienced that. Cause one day a cop asked me if I won the lottery or something because we bought two used cars.

And believe it or not I do support that POC should be represented by their own. It’s just that I get so sick of seeing the racism card played. Be it white,black,latino,japanese, or what have you. We all face racism in some form or another.
